Mental Health Prevention and Early Intervention Grant Overview Solano County Office of Education has received a Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) grant from the Solano County Health and Social Services, Mental Health Department, to provide Response to Intervention (RTI) Tier II level behavioral support services to students in grades 4-8 and build Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) for students in grades 9-12. This grant will provide services to students who have been identified as at risk of school failure due to social/emotional issues such as loss of a parent, exposure to substance abuse or domestic violence, parental divorce, lack of social skill or emotional resiliency, or other mental health issues. Direct services will begin in January 2010.
