Solano County Office of Education

For Infants and Toddlers with Special Needs and their Families

The Me Too Program is part of California's Interagency Early Start Program (Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). The program is designed to provide early intervention services for infants and toddlers from birth to 36 months who have developmental delays, are at risk for developmental disabilities, or have established risk conditions. Special education services are guided by an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and operate in collaboration with other agencies to provide early intervention services.

Me Too Program Goals

- Identify infants and toddlers, from birth to 3 years of age, who have or are at risk of having, developmental disabilities.

- Provide a comprehensive assessment profile that focuses on children’s strengths and areas of need.

- Provide early intervention services to children who have identified or suspected delays, and their families, as early as possible, to maximize each child’s overall development.

- Work in partnership with parents, respecting the individuality, diversity, and independence of each family.

- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to better serve children and their families.

- Facilitate a smooth transition to appropriate preschool services.
