Spring Message 2019
Message from the County Superintendent of Schools
Welcome to the Solano County Office of Education’s (SCOE) website. We are privileged to provide educational services to students from infancy to adulthood who are at risk or have disabilities, and we are honored to serve in support of the school districts in our community.
We believe that a quality education is a vital priority for the students of Solano County, and a strong public education system is critical to the social fabric and economic vitality of our community. SCOE works together with our county’s six independent school districts and one community college district to ensure that every young person is equipped with a first-class education to succeed in a global economy and to become active and productive citizens. In order to serve the students of Solano County, SCOE, in conjunction with local school districts, provides an array of programs and services to meet the varying needs of our students.
SCOE’s strategic vision is to support all Solano County students to be career, college, and citizenship ready. Our core mission is to provide effective leadership and services that support our schools and community in their efforts to provide equal access to the highest quality education and ensure a positive outcome for every student in Solano County.
We accomplish this by:
- Working to improve the learning outcomes of the students we serve
- Attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing highly qualified staff
- Monitoring fiscal accountability
- Encouraging collaboration with community partners
It is an honor and privilege to serve you as the 23rd Solano County Superintendent of Schools. I look forward to working together with you and our community partners to promote a bright and hopeful future for our children and community.
