Juvenile Detention Facility Evergreen Academy
The Juvenile Detention Facility (JDF) Evergreen Academy provides every student an equal opportunity to an enriched education where they are challenged to meet and exceed their individual potential in a safe and structured environment.
JDF Evergreen Academy students receive a rigorous education, which enables them the opportunity to earn course credits toward meeting their district’s graduation requirements. Upon release, students who are deficient in academic course requirements also have the ability to recover credits through SCOE's Distance Learning Program. We provide instruction in all four core subject areas, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, and various electives in addition to English Language Development (ELD) as needed to prepare them for their return to a comprehensive high school.
In partnership with Solano County Probation Department, students attending the JDF Evergreen Academy are provided wrap-around services to ensure they are building resiliency and other life skills to prepare them to meet life’s challenges. Developing social and emotional competence is as important as academic success for our students.
