Spelling Bee Championships

2019 Solano County Elementary Spelling Bee Competition

The 43rd Annual Solano County Elementary School Spelling Bee is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2019, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Joseph A. Nelson Community Center (611 Village Drive, Suisun City, CA 94585). The Spelling Bee is open to 4th – 6th grade students enrolled in a public or private school within Solano County.

The County Competition is an oral contest. District staff, school staff, and the contestant’s family are welcome to attend the event.

Each school may send one (1) student to participate. An alternate should also be selected to replace the champion contestant if necessary.

All Spelling Bee participants will receive a certificate and a gold Spelling Bee medallion for their participation. First and second place County winners will be awarded a trophy along with trophies for their schools.

Both first and second place County winners will proceed to the California Elementary Spelling Bee Championship scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the San Joaquin County Office of Education. More information on the State Championship is located at

School Registration Form

Schools interested in participating in the Solano County Elementary School Spelling Bee competition must complete an online form by December 2018.

Contestant Certification Form

This form must be completed online by the school’s Spelling Bee Advisor no later than January 2019.
