Educational Services Department

The Solano County Office of Education operates many educational support services to school districts in Solano County. We work hand-in-hand with educators in our school districts to address the needs of students.

The mission of the District & School Support program is to build and sustain the capacity necessary to improve the success of all students by partnering with districts and schools as they endeavor to implement organizational practices.

Early Learning

Solano County Office of Education’s (SCOE) Early Learning system is a collaboration of stakeholders including educators, community agencies, parents, and other professionals working with children from the age of infancy to 5 years old.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

SCOE has developed trainings designed to support districts and teachers in adopting Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies aimed at making learning accessible to every student. UDL is designed to break down barriers to learning for all students by fostering equity.

Science, Technology Engineering, Arts, Mathematics (STEAM)

STEAM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world, problem-based, and performance-based lessons. STEAM education exemplifies the axiom "the whole is more than the sum of the parts."
