Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Services

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based multi-tiered framework for improving and integrating data, systems, and practices affecting student social and behavioral outcomes every day. It is a way to support everyone and create schools where all students are successful. Supported by state and federal legislation, PBIS leads to:
 
  • Improved academic performance and social-emotional competence 
  • Improved social and academic outcomes for students with disabilities
  • Reduces bullying behaviors
  • Decreased rates of student reported drug and alcohol abuse
  • Reduced office disciplines referrals
  • Reduced suspension
  • Reduced restraint and seclusion
  • Improved teacher perceptions of efficacy 
  • Improved teacher perceptions of school climate and safety
 
The Solano County Office of Education is dedicated to supporting Solano schools build or reinvigorate their PBIS frameworks. Consulting, training, and coaching services are available and can be customized to the unique needs of the school or district.
