Learn, Grow, Thrive: Cultivating Seeds of Greatness
County Superintendent’s Back-to-School Message 2024-2025

As we embark on a new year, I am filled with immense pride and optimism for the journey ahead. Our theme for this year is "Learn, Grow, and Thrive - Cultivating the Seeds of Greatness," a reminder of the profound impact each of the individuals at the Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) has through their daily actions and dedication to the students and families we serve.
We return from summer break invigorated and with a renewed sense of purpose – to meet the needs of each student served in our Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) programs.
This is my 39th year in public education, starting my 19th school year with SCOE, and my 3rd term as Solano County’s Superintendent of Schools. I remain very excited about what the future holds for SCOE and our students!
Our shared vision is to support our young people to LEARN, GROW, THRIVE, and achieve lifelong success. By sowing the seeds of knowledge, we equip them with the tools needed to overcome new challenges and seize opportunities. As they grow, we help them develop the confidence and resilience to navigate their paths, much like a gardener tends to young plants, ensuring they receive the sunlight and water they need to flourish. When they thrive, it is a testament to our collective efforts and the nurturing support we provide, laying the foundation for their lifelong success.
It is due to this shared commitment that during the 2024-2025 academic year, SCOE will continue with our mission of promoting equity and excellence by working with our school districts and community partners to create opportunities that address the needs of every student. We will achieve this by contributing to SCOE’s positive environment and through daily practice of our Guiding Principles of Leadership, Collaboration, and Support for it is working together toward our mutual purpose that will enable us to cultivate seeds of greatness in our students.
I look forward to continued teamwork between SCOE’s staff and our community partners during the 2024-2025 school year as we work together to perpetually improve educational programs for our students and provide great opportunities for their futures.
APRENDER, CRECER, PROSPERAR: CULTIVAR SEMILLAS DE GRANDEZA
Mensaje de regreso a clases de la Superintendente del Condado 2024-2025
Al embarcarnos en un nuevo año, me siento llena de inmenso orgullo y optimismo por el viaje que tenemos por delante. Nuestro tema para este año es "Aprender, Crecer y Prosperar: Cultivar las Semillas de la Grandeza", un recordatorio del profundo impacto que cada uno de los individuos de la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Solano (SCOE) tiene a través de sus acciones diarias y su dedicación al estudiantes y familias a las que servimos.
Regresamos de las vacaciones de verano revitalizados y con un sentido de propósito renovado: satisfacer las necesidades de cada estudiante asistiendo en nuestros programas de la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Solano (SCOE).
Este es mi 39.º año en la educación pública, comenzando mi 19.º año escolar con SCOE y mi tercer mandato como Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Solano. ¡Sigo muy entusiasmada con lo que depara el futuro para SCOE y nuestros estudiantes!
Nuestra visión compartida es apoyar a nuestros jóvenes para APRENDER, CRECER, PROSPERAR y lograr el éxito para toda la vida. Al sembrar las semillas del conocimiento, les equipamos con las herramientas necesarias para superar nuevos desafíos y aprovechar oportunidades. A medida que crecen, les ayudamos a desarrollar la confianza y la resiliencia para recorrer sus caminos, de forma muy parecida a como un jardinero cuida las plantas jóvenes, asegurándose de que reciban la luz del sol y el agua que necesitan para florecer. Cuando prosperan, es un testimonio de nuestros esfuerzos colectivos y del apoyo enriquecedor que brindamos, sentando las bases para su éxito de por vida.
Es debido a este compromiso compartido que durante el año académico 2024-2025, SCOE continuará con nuestra misión de promover la equidad y la excelencia trabajando con nuestros distritos escolares y socios comunitarios para crear oportunidades que aborden las necesidades de cada estudiante. Lo lograremos contribuyendo al ambiente positivo de SCOE y a través de la práctica diaria de nuestros Principios Rectores de Liderazgo, Colaboración y Apoyo, ya que trabajamos juntos hacia nuestro propósito mutuo que nos permitirá cultivar semillas de grandeza en nuestros estudiantes.
Espero que el personal de SCOE y nuestros socios comunitarios continúen trabajando en equipo durante el año escolar 2024-2025 mientras trabajamos juntos para mejorar perpetuamente los programas educativos para nuestros estudiantes y brindar grandes oportunidades para su futuro.
