Solano County Office of Education

John Finney FNL was established during the 2022-2023 school year. Since its inception the club has focused on social emotional learning, incorporating the Arts into various advocacy projects. Students participated in an Art Show, collaborated with Royer Studios to develop Public Service Announcements, sculpted with clay, and spoke to the Vallejo City School Board about their experiences in FNL.

Fentanyl Awareness and Prevention

Students at John Finney are raising awareness around the dangers of Fentanyl. The growing prevalence of opioids is coming a growing concern among our student population. In response, FNL is dedicated to empowering their peers with the knowledge about the severe and potentially life-threatening side effects of opioid use, how to identity the early warning signs of an overdose, and the steps to take when someone is in the midst of an overdose. Through education and awareness, FNL is striving to create a safer, more informed campus environment and culture.
