SCOE's Antibias STEM Grant partners with STEM4Real to focus on lesson studies in STEM through a justice-centered lens.

Register for the final 2025-26 Cohort:
Solano County educators (teachers and instructional leaders, TOSAs, instructional coaches, department chairs) are invited to explore more equitable learning environments to mitigate bias in the classroom. During this one-year program, K-12 educators will participate in a lesson study to learn more about addressing bias in the classroom and school environment and foster students’ sense of belonging.
 
This professional learning will emphasize equitable and engaging learning experiences in engineering, life science, and physical science with connections to academic opportunity and success.

Requirements:
Educators receiving the stipend must participate in the following:
  • Summit (Program Launch): September 13, 2025, 9 am-11:30 am, Zoom
  • Lesson Study Sessions: October 14, October 21, October 28, November 18, 2025, 4-6 pm, Zoom
  • Classroom Observation: October 8th or 9th (educators sign-up)
  • Office Hours (required): 10-15 minute post-observation coaching session (educators sign up)
  • Office Hours (optional): January 27, 2026, 4-6 pm, Zoom
  • Submit Artifacts: January 30, 2026
  • Culminating Event: February 24, 2026, 4:30-6:30 pm, SCOE Main Office
  • Submit program pre/post-surveys
