Engineering Challenge
Join the Fun!
You're invited to put your creativity and problem-solving skills to work with a small team to design, build, and innovate in a fun activity that lets you bring your ideas to life! Join us at the 2027 Science and Engineering Fair on March 11, 2027, to participate.
All materials will be provided. Registration is required.
Teams
A team of 1, 2, or 3 students may participate. Only one registration form entry per team is required. No preparation needed. Students do not need to have a Science and Engineering Fair project to participate.
Who may enter? Any student enrolled in grades TK-12 in a public, private, or parochial school in Solano County may enter. Homeschooled students living in Solano County are also eligible.
Divisions
Early Elementary (Grades TK-2) - may receive adult support during the challenge
Elementary School (3rd-5th grade)
Middle School (6th-8th grade)
High School (9th-12th grades)
Middle School (6th-8th grade)
High School (9th-12th grades)
Time and Location
Thursday, March 11, 2027, from 4:00 - 5:45 pm
Please arrive with your team by 3:45 p.m. to sign-in and maximize your time. The challenge will start promptly at 4 p.m.. If you are participating with a team, make sure everyone has arrived before checking in

Registration Deadline
Friday, March 5, 2027, no later than 3 pm.
Each student must sign a parent/guardian waiver: English Waiver, Spanish Waiver.
Note: If you submitted a project to the 2027 Science and Engineering Fair, you do not need to resubmit the waiver.
